My Philosophy
Therapy is not about fixing what’s broken—it's about understanding, reconnecting, and growing. I see my role as a compassionate guide: helping you tune in to what matters most, make sense of past experiences, and move forward with clarity and confidence.
Whether you're navigating conflict, disconnection, life transitions, or simply seeking a deeper sense of self, I’m here to walk alongside you.
Hi, I’m Dana. I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate (LMFTA), and for over 30 years, I’ve served as a pastor—walking with people through some of the most meaningful, joyful, and challenging moments of their lives. My own spirituality is deeply important to me, but I never impose it on others; I honor and respect the beliefs, values, and perspectives each person brings into the room.
A Compassionate, Collaborative Approach to Growth
I believe healing happens within relationships—whether with others or within ourselves. I work from a systems-oriented, attachment-based framework, recognizing that each person is shaped by the connections and contexts they move through in life.
My therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based methods. I partner with individuals, couples, and families to co-create a safe and supportive space where patterns can be explored, emotions understood, and meaningful change can take root.
My Approach
I draw from several modalities to meet the unique needs of each client or couple:
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) – to help couples and individuals access and express deeper emotional needs, building secure bonds and repairing disconnection.
Solution-Focused Therapy – to identify strengths and move toward actionable, present-focused solutions.
The Gottman Method – to support couples in improving communication, managing conflict, and building lasting intimacy based on decades of research.
Every session is guided by the belief that change is possible, and that each client holds inherent worth and capacity for healing.

Personal Interests
Outside of my work as a therapist, I’ve been married for 39 years, and my greatest joy is my family—our four adult children and ten wonderful grandchildren. I’ve also been a high school track coach for more than 25 years, which has taught me the value of perseverance, teamwork, and celebrating progress along the way. In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, watching sports, and spending time with the people who matter most.
